Jack
assists companies and individuals with business transactions, employee
benefits, human resources management, corporate governance issues,
executive employment, and estate planning. He has a wide range of
experience advising clients on corporate acquisitions and sales
involving both foreign and domestic operations and facilities, qualified
and non-qualified retirement plans, corporate and employee
communications, and family succession planning. Jack has served on the
boards of directors of NYSE and NASDAQ-traded corporations and authored
the chapter on officers’ and directors’ liability for the initial
edition of Advising Oregon Businesses, an Oregon State Bar publication.
Jack is a member of the Board of Directors of Associated Oregon
Industries, is former President of the Oregon Jewish Museum, and is
Secretary of the Oregon Jewish Community Foundation. He serves on the
board of directors of a private charitable foundation and is a former
board member of the Portland Opera Association.
A Portland native, Jack graduated Stanford University and Harvard Law
School. He and his wife Barbara have three sons.
