Brooks Harlow, a partner at Miller Nash LLP, will be speaking on February 19 at The Energy Bar Association Ninth Annual Western Chapter Meeting.
Mr. Harlow is a co-chair of the Smart Grid panel, featuring representatives from Pacific Gas and Electric Company, Washington Utilities and Transportation Commission, OnSmart Technologies, LLC and Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP.
Smart Grid promises to change the way the power system operates, from accommodating intermittent renewable resources, to reducing the length of distribution outages, to smart meters that will change the way people use electricity. The panel will look at the implementation of the Smart Grid from the generator to the end user and the legal issues involved.
